What is a god? And who are the Twins?
Mythology offers us a way of looking at our place in the world by humanizing aspects of our environment and our interactions with that environment. Great stories were told of ancient kings and heroes to exemplify what societies expected of their citizens. Characters were developed to explain the wild nature found in seas and on land. After 100s of generations, these characters – these gods – have become a part of our collective memory. The Twins are my addition to the pantheon. They are Romula and Remus. They are born of the primordal chaos. They are the dichotomy that gives us all things. They are male and female, good and bad, up and down… Without one, there could not be the other. They are ancient, and very powerful. But obviously, also vulnerable. Our first story The Enlightenment of the Vines sees Romula fall from heaven. We follow her journey home.
